1. ANNOUNCEMENTS
I am looking forward to meeting this Sunday and concluding Romans chapter 3. If you would like notes from any of the past lessons, let me know. No long reviews or explanations this week. So until Sunday at 11-am, be thankful for the ways our God has blessed you.

2. SOMETHING FOR YOUR HEART
Here it is, Thanksgiving Day. You may think you've learned everything you need to know about Thanksgiving, but let's see how you do on this quiz about Pilgrims, turkeys, the Bible and more. (Yeah, I usually get popular Christian music before it can be bought, one of the many cool things about my job.)

More important than how much you know about Thanksgiving (the proper noun) is how well you do at "thanks giving" (the active verb). In the midst of this year's massive food spreads and nonstop football games, remember where every "good and perfect" gift comes from (James 1:17). Then be sure to make time to tell God thanks.

On your own ...

Read Colossians 3:12-17.

What are some personal qualities that should accompany thanksgiving? How should we demonstrate that we are thankful? What are some opportunities you will have to show your gratitude this week?

3. SURF REPORT
~ The True Thanksgiving Story
Where did the tradition of Thanksgiving come from? How long has the holiday been celebrated? Those are just two of the questions answered at this informative site.

~ Turkey to go – another pointless game that's kinda fun.

4. VIDEO OF THE WEEK
A hilarious Japanese Prank

Some people always sigh in thanking God.
- Elizabeth Barrett Browning
