Purpose-DrivenŽ
Presbyterians
In
2005 we
undertook
a “40
Days of
Purpose”
campaign
focused
on
spiritual
life and
growth.
200
people
took
part in
daily
readings
in “The
Purpose-Driven
Life”
and in
weekly
small
group
studies
and
fellowships.
God
blessed
us with
great
spiritual
growth.
Today we
continue
to grow
as we
develop
and
organize
our life
around
the five
purposes
for
God’s
church:
Worship,
Fellowship,
Discipleship,
Ministry,
and
Mission,
and to
reach
out to
friends
and
neighbors
with
God’s
good
news of
new life
in
Christ
Jesus.

v Adult Saturday Seminars
Different levels of adult curriculum have been developed to help our members grow in faith, become mature in spirit, and function effectively in whatever place Christ leads us to live out our faith. Everyone is encouraged to complete the various levels as they become available. A Saturday Seminar format is used for maximum coherence and effective scheduling. Watch for current and upcoming courses in the weekly bulletin and the monthly newsletter. Click here to see a list of courses.

Ministry
Our
members
continue
to grow
as they
discover
their
gifts
and use
them in
serving
Christ
through
the
ministries
of the
church.
Volunteers
of all
ages are
engaged
in
ministry
throughout
the life
of the
congregation
under
the
leadership
of the
governing
body,
the
Session. We also maintain an active
prayer
ministry,
Stephen
Ministry, and Board of
Deacons
as we
seek to
be
faithful
followers
of Jesus
Christ.

Mission/Outreach
This is
the
discovery
of your
gifts to
do God’s
work in
the
world.
You were
made for
a
mission.
Many of
our
members
have, or
are
already
participating
in
mission
opportunities
as near
as the
local
food
closet
and as
far away
as
Rwanda,
Kenya,
and
southeast
Asia.
Whidbey
Presbyterian
is
committed
to
sharing
Christ's
love in
a
variety
of both
social
and
Christian
organizations
at
local,
national
and
international
levels.
Part of
our
ministry
is the
stewardship
of all
the
resources
God has
given
us.
We
respond
to God's
gifts by
supporting
God's
ministries
and
missions
with our
tithes,
offerings,
gifts
and
endowments.
